Commercial Leasing Coordinator
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Leasing Coordinator to support our VP of Acquisitions and Leasing in managing the leasing process for our commercial property portfolio. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in commercial real estate and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the leasing lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lease Administration & Documentation
- Prepare and process lease documents, amendments, and renewals
- Coordinate lease execution and ensure all required signatures and documentation are obtained
- Maintain organized filing systems for all lease-related documents and correspondence
- Track critical lease dates including renewals, expirations, and option periods
- Assist with lease abstraction and database management
Tenant Relations & Showings
- Schedule and conduct property tours for prospective tenants
- Respond to tenant inquiries and coordinate with property management as needed
- Assist in preparing proposals and marketing materials for available spaces
- Maintain positive relationships with current and prospective tenants
Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct market research on comparable properties, rental rates, and market trends
- Compile competitive property data and market statistics
Administrative Support
- Coordinate communications between tenants, brokers, attorneys, and internal team members
- Maintain and update property availability reports and marketing materials
- Assist with the preparation of RFPs, tenant improvement proposals, and lease proposals
- Schedule meetings and maintain calendar for leasing activities
- Support the VP with special projects and additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 0-3 years of experience in commercial real estate, property management, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Professional demeanor and strong customer service orientation
Preferred
- Previous exposure to commercial leasing or property management
- Familiarity with lease terminology and commercial real estate concepts
- Experience with property management or CRM software
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for property showings
